New Village Charter High School New Village Charter High School has gone from concept to reality in a little over a year. Since ExED began working with New Village in the spring of 2005, their charter petition was approved and the school opened in September 2006. Camino Nuevo Charter Academy Camino Nuevo Charter Academy serves very low-income students, from kindergarten to high school, in four locations in L.A.’s central city and MacArthur Park neighborhoods. With assistance from ExED, Camino Nuevo has generated annual surpluses and opened a brand new high school facility in fall 2006. Learn more.
New Heights Charter School New Heights Charter School, located in South Los Angles, opened in 2006 with grades K-3 and will add a new grade each year to become a K-8 school.
